Salt Lake City, Utah, August 11, 2020—Wasatch Global Investors has announced the appointment of Amelia Kennedy to the firm’s institutional business development team. Kennedy, former Head of Research & Governance at ANZ Private Banking & Advice, has been appointed to a newly created role to lead distribution in the Asia-Pacific region and will be responsible for managing relationships with institutional clients and consultants.
Eric Bergeson, President of Wasatch Global Investors, commented on her appointment, “Amelia’s experience and knowledge of the Australian market for investment services will be crucial for Wasatch’s growth in the strategically important Asia-Pacific region. She will build on Wasatch’s successful platform in Australia, which has been due to the immense efforts of our longstanding distribution partner, Terrain Placement Services. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Terrain.”
Wasatch has significantly increased its global client base and distribution footprint in recent years, most notably in the Asia-Pacific region, with AUD $788 million in assets managed for Australian clients. The firm’s roots are in U.S. small-cap investing, but its process has proven successful in identifying high-quality growth businesses of all sizes around the world. In addition to global and regional small-cap strategies, Wasatch also offers concentrated, high-conviction global and emerging markets all-cap strategies. Today, almost half of its AUD $33.2 billion in assets under management are invested in dedicated global and ex-U.S. strategies.
